Over the last decade, industrial markets have experienced a new revolution in product manufacturing due to the growth in factory automation. Sensing technology advancements, along with robotics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, are at the heart of this sea change. These advances in optics and photonics imaging have led to an explosion of new applications for optical technologies from agriculture and food production quality control to high-speed machine vision imaging of production lines.
